Everything you need to know about table throws…
Branding yourself and looking professional are two very important ways to catch the right kind of attention. Using a table cover at trade shows, events, or conferences is a great way to maximize your corporate branding. Using these as part of your advertising can be a bit overwhelming with the many different styles available. “What’s the difference between a table throw and a table cover? What are the different types of printing?” These are all questions you may ask yourself as you look through your options.
Your three most common options for table covers are table throws, fitted table covers, table runners, and stretch table covers. While the many options may seem intimidating, their names are very fitting to their style.
Table throws: This style of table throw lays directly on the table. They usually come in two options, including being all sided for full coverage of the table, and being three sided. The three sided option has an open back which allows for easy access to storage underneath of the table.
Fitted Table Covers: This style is very similar to a table throw, with the difference of it being a more uniformed and structured look. The corners of the cover are meant to fit directly on the table. This cover comes in the options of having all four sides, having an open back, or also have all four sides with a zipper along the back end.
Stretch Table Covers :Stretch table covers are very fitting to their name. It is simply a cover that is typically made from a stretch polyester that allows the material to stretch over the table for a contoured fit. This type of throw comes with a 4 sided option, a 3 sided option with an open back, and 4 sided option with a zipper along the back.
Table Runners: Table runners are an easy option to place on top of a table cover. They usually come in the width options of 2-5ft.
Printing Options
Vinyl Heat Transfer: This is the least expensive “print” option available. It uses CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools that cuts the design out of the vinyl. It is then applied to the standard fabric using a high temperature press. This results in a permanent table cover that has the capability of being washed and ironed without cracking, peeling, or fading.
Screen Printing:This method involves creating a stencil or “screen” which is used to apply layers of ink onto the printing surface. This style of printing is perfect for applying one or two solid matched colors to your table throw or runner. This can be a very economical choice if a large number of matching runners or throws are required.
Dye Sublimation:This is a two step process that allows of an infusion of a full color digital print of photographic quality directly onto the fabric. It also is used for custom trade show displays and graphic displays. This style of printing results in a high-resolution full color print that is permanently infused into the threads of the fabric.
