An occasional call we get from customers is that the light head on their CREE Light doesn’t adjust from spot light to flood light. In 100% of the cases the light head slides fine, but the owner is concerned they will break it so they don’t want to put much pressure on it. These lights are made of heavy aluminum, you absolutely will not break them by sliding the head up and down. We design these lights this way to keep water from seeping into the light head as easily as well as so that over years it doesn’t began to slide on its own. To adjust the light from spot light to flood light, grasp the bottom of the light head and grab the largest area of the light and slide it back or forward until you reach the beam diameter that you’re happy with.
Here is a video where I am using the sliding feature. As as always, if it doesn’t work, We have you covered. Give us a call and we’ll take care of you.
