5'x9.5' is the size U.S. flag normally used for memorial services, often referred to as the "Casket Flag". Although known for it's use in memorial services, it it still often chosen as an Outdoor flag with the same features as our other premier Outdoor Nylon flags. The extra length gives the user the option to repair it down to the 5'x8' size once the fly-end wears. Nylon is typically suited to light wind areas. In areas of light to moderate wind, Nylon Flags are better than the alternative Polyester. Being lighter, it will fly better rather than just hanging on the pole. Since it can fly better, it also dries faster when it gets wet reducing mildew rot which degrades the material and flag life faster.
This size is typically used for inground flagpoles from 12' to 20', mounted home flag sets, street pole mounted flags, and flying mulitple flags on 25' to 35' poles.
