Description
The large 5'x8' Polyester Double Side Outdoor flag is heavily constructed and heavy in weight. The POW MIA symbol is printed in white on a pure black background. This symbol has become extremely meaningful to Americans in its short life since 1972. Developed by families during the Vietnam War with loved ones held prisoner, their petitioning and hard work convince Congress to adopt the flag to represent the Prisoners and those Missing In Action in the Vietnam and Southeast Asia wars. It has since evolved to be seen as a symbol for all America's Wars since Vietnam and our committment as a nation to make sure our men and women are brought home after the wars we asked them to fight.
The double sided, 5'x8' polyester POW-MIA flag must be flown on a commercial grade pole due to its heavier weight. Reinforced at the fly end with additional stitching and a thick hem, you'll receive the longest life of any POW/MIA flag in the US market. If you have high winds, this may be the best material for your location. Questions? Extra Assurance? Call us and we'll advise you on the best fabric for your location.
